My sister, Erin, had us over to her house to make Gingerbread cookies. The kids had so much fun cutting out the cookies and then decorating them.
Blake joked about the little gingerbread men being part of his army, and having one giant gingerbread man to govern them. But then the kids grew tired of cutting out the cookies, so Ari and I started to cut out a lot of big gingerbread men to make the cookie cutting go faster. Which meant I had an army of giant gingerbread men to fight Blake’s little army. Bwahaha . . .
Zeke loved exploring William’s bedroom while all the baking and decorating was going on. He found a helmet and ran into the dining room yelling “Football!” (In Zeke’s world, any helmet will do when playing football. This little boy is OBSESSED with football.)
Here’s a picture of all of us (minus Scott who took the picture)
The next day, we had more crafting fun. We made a sugar cube village, complete with candy train, jail (with two gingerbread men guards, and a gingerbread man being hung out back), a governor’s mansion, candy store, church, and homes. I love that Dad put his house facing outside of town . . . that is so appropriate for my introverted Dad!
