My Grandma

We took a quick trip over the mountains to see Grandma in Othello. It was so nice to bring Grandma to her house so she could visit with us in her own home (instead of the convalescent home). We enjoyed some of our favorite pizza from the local pizza place. (I love their BBQ chicken pizza.) After a few hours, Grandma was exhausted, so we took her back.

In the morning, we went to the convalescent home to visit with Grandma one last time before we headed back home. There was a cute little puppy that comes to visit all the patients. Lily and Zeke had great fun playing with the puppy. And Grandma got a kick out of seeing them play.

Grandma is so loving. She doesn’t complain, because she says “no one likes being around people that complain.” She loves people. It doesn’t matter who you are or what language you speak, Grandma will love you and strike up a conversation with you. This past year, Grandma’s age has finally started to catch up with her. She tires easily now, and spends more time listening than joining in on conversations. But she’s always grateful for company.
