A Piano!

I’ve been very truant about blogging. A few months ago, my mom told us about a family she knew that was giving away their piano. She mentioned it to Scott. He really wanted to get it for me. He helped overcome all my objections (where would we put it being the main objection). Don’t get the wrong idea. I wanted a piano. I’ve missed being able to play. But I didn’t want to do something drastic that I would later regret.

Thanks to the help of Scott, five men from our ward, and my brother’s pick-up, the piano now resides in our entryway.

I love having it! I’ve been able to play church hymns for family home evening (a night our church sets aside for families to spend time together learning the gospel, and doing fun activities). The kids love playing it too! I’ve noticed my fingers easily tire. I just dug out my piano music so I can start practicing again.

I am so grateful for this couple’s generosity, for my mom, Scott, and everyone that helped us.

Jealous! When we get back to the states, I want to get one so the kids can start taking lessons. I don't play and neither does Andrew, but we both desperately want our children to be able to play!
