We didn’t realize until a few days ago that we started a tradition without even knowing it. For the past year and a half, we’ve been getting together with our friends to watch General Conference (2 days of televised instruction from church leaders). We were so excited to have them come visit us.
The girls loved seeing each other again. And had so much fun having a sleepover! (We were dog sitting my parents’ dog, so we were at my parents’ house.)
Zeke had a hard time sleeping in a room without Lily. Lily normally sings “I’m a Child of God” to him until he falls asleep. (She’s such a good sister.)
In between sessions, and after the kids went to bed, we snuck in some Settlers’ games. (We can’t get together without playing.) Mike skunked us the first game. And then Tiffany followed suit the next game. Normally it’s a close game. So we played a third. I know, a bit much for one weekend. But I triumphed and narrowly claimed the victory!
I didn’t get to watch a lot of conference, because of my work schedule, but I loved what I was able to hear. I look forward to listening to and reading the rest in the near future.
