March Madness–Church style

Our ward (church congregation) had a March Madness night a few weeks ago. It was so well organized and so much fun!

All the participants (ages 18months and up) ran into the gym while the rest of us formed an archway for them. Then the fun began. There were free concessions (popcorn, hot dogs, licorice, chips, etc.). They also had a band and a dance team. The basketball contests were separated by age group.

Zeke loved when it was his turn. They had four kid size basketball hoops, and a bunch of basketballs for the kids to play with. It was utter chaos, but the kids loved it and no one got hurt! Lily was too shy when it was her age groups turn. Hopefully, she’ll feel more comfortable next year. Scott had fun competing in the half court competition and playing in his two games. (I am basketball challenged, so I just cheered.)

I can’t wait for next year when we get to do it again!
