Lily was a little apprehensive about going to a different preschool this year. (She loved her preschool last year. And adored her teacher. But the commute was a bit much.)
At orientation, Lily loved her classroom and hit it off with another little girl.
Zeke loved the classroom, too:
We were bummed to find out on the first day of school that the little girl Lily had played so well with would not be attending preschool (she lives out of district). That left Lily with a class full of boys. Poor Lily! I tried calling the woman in charge of registration. She wouldn’t budge on letting the other girl attend. All she could offer is to look at the waiting list to see if there was a little girl they could add to Lily’s class.
So far, Lily seems to enjoy her class a lot. She even told me she plays with two of the boys . . . but she never seems to remember their names.

Too cute! That's really too bad about the little girl that is out of district. They should make an exception.
