Favorite Lily Moments

Here are just a few of the cute things Lily has said or done in the last month:

At prayer time, Lily has decided that she doesn’t need us helping her say her prayers anymore.  Now she insists on helping us say prayers.  Today at lunch, she helped Scott say prayer.  She had him thank Heavenly Father for the day, and then had Scott ask Heavenly Father to “bless Mommy to be good.”  And then she ended the prayer.  Apparently, I need a lot of help being good.

Dressing up and leading music (always while standing on a stool) has been a very common occurrence in our household.

When Lily wakes up in the morning, she insists on having chocolate milk in a sippy cup while she watches Sesame Street in “her spot” on the couch.  Many mornings, she complains that the TV is “too bright” and she needs her “glasses.” (She takes after her Papa who had a hard time when he was a little boy adjusting to the light in the morning.)

Bath time is one of Lily’s favorite times of day.  Lately, she’s been obsessed with lathering herself with soap.  This particular day, she made a soap beard for herself.

This is just a cute picture of Lily at the park that I snapped on my cell phone.

At the Home Depot Kids’ Clinic yesterday, they had a paint station the kids could go to after they made their water meters.  There were tons of colors to choose from and many children were putting multiple paint colors on their bird house water meters, but Lily wanted just one color: bright orange . . . that made all my coworkers laugh.

Lily also has started reciting phrases that I say a little too often.  My favorite is “That is not an option.”  And she also puts Scott and me in time-outs, which we happily comply with.

You've got one cute little girl!

I used to stand on the arm of the couch and "conduct", when I was her age.

What a wise prayer from such a little girl... you've always had a bit of a devious side... ;)
