Wednesday, we took Lily up to see the beluga whales (and other sea creatures) at the aquarium. She was so excited to see the whales!
They have a kid zone where the kids get to touch sea creatures, dress up like different fish, play with cushy blocks, and pretend to do medical check ups on seals. Lily loved this area!
Lily loved touching the starfish and sea cucumber. (The sea urchin is too pokey to touch, so we just looked at him.) Her favorite thing to touch was the sea cucumber, because he was squishy.
Lily’s dressed as a crab, and trying to attack Scott.
Lily had lined up six of the cushy blocks in a row, only to have a little boy come and steal them one at a time. Lily decided that the only way to protect the blocks from the little boy was to lay on them. Here she’s protecting the last two blocks.
Lily wanted me to sit by her while she checked on the seal. This was by far her favorite thing to do. She had one seal in particular that was her patient, and she wouldn’t let any of the other kids touch him. (She’s very interested in being a doctor right now. She loves going to my doctor appointments and pretending to listen to my heart when we’re at home. We’re going to give her a doctor kit for her birthday in a few weeks.)

The Belugas were my favorite at Sea World. I still regret not buying Carlin the stuffed baby beluga whale.
That is a way cool Aquarium. She will make a wonderful vet.
What a fun day. Malea loves to visit the aquarium as well.
