Pancakes & Funny Faces

In an attempt to make breakfast time more fun (and to encourage Lily to eat more food) I decided to make pancakes shaped like animal heads.  Lily gobbles them up and isn’t too picky if all the animal pancakes look a like.  (I only can make bears, cats, mice, and dogs.  Any other animal requests end up looking like a bear, cat, mouse, or dog.)

The next two pictures are a few weeks old (hint: not the new haircut).  I have reading glasses now, and Lily wanted to look like her mommy.  We popped the lenses out of one of her pairs of sunglasses and did some modeling for the camera.  (And before any of you complain, I’ll post pictures of my new glasses when I post pictures of my haircut.)

I think Lily did a good job taking my picture.  I just wish I wasn’t making such a goofy face.

Elephant pancakes are all the rage in our house on Saturday mornings. They're fairly easy to make. Brooklynn has given up on asking for anything more complicated. Good thinking for getting you baby to eat more.

I remember when Mom used to make animal and letter pancakes for us. So fun! I LOVE Lily's haircut too!

Cute pancakes! So I just thought I'd let you know that as we're getting ready to pack all of our ghetto craigslist furniture into the u-haul and tote it to our new apartment, I keep telling Casey about how someday (when we're rich) we're going to fly you to wherever we're living and then you and I can go on a huge furniture/home decor shopping spree and we'll pay you to help me decorate my dream home with things that actually look nice. I think I might make Casey go out of town too so that the girls can have free reign of all decorative matters... and to ensure that nothing with antlers makes it into my home. It's nice to dream. And hey... who knows- maybe someday we'll have our neighboring houses with white picket fences. :)

It's okay because we know you don't normally look goofy :)
