Our neighbor has been giving us some of his old toys for Lily. One day, he left a doll stroller by our front door. It was very sweet of him. We just had one problem: Lily didn't have a doll to put in the stroller. We took Lily to Target to choose a doll. Scott wanted to make sure it wasn't a scary looking doll. (He thinks a lot of dolls look like Chucky.) We guided Lily away from the more expensive dolls. This is the doll she chose. It doesn't have a name yet, but then again, Scott is the only one she calls by name.
She's had the doll for almost a month now. At first, she liked to push it in the stroller. Today, she took the doll out of the stroller and held it like a baby for the first time. She put the doll on my lap and insisted I hold the doll just like I hold her. She then sat on our little step and rocked it back and forth. It was so cute!
Getting a picture of that precious moment was a little more difficult than I anticipated. She would drop the doll and run towards the camera everytime I got the camera out to take a picture.
