It was a very fun day that wore all of us out! Lily and Will were content to fall asleep on the car ride home. I think Mom, LaDawn, and I all wanted to join them for naps, too!

A day at the Farm
LaDawn, Brent & Brooklynn came to visit. Mom planned a fun day for us. We picked raspberries, which all the kids loved doing. We had a hard time pulling ourselves away from the berries, because we kept finding so many ripe berries ready to pick. But Lily was done being patient and wanted to go play!
Mom treated us all to Remlinger Farms. It was a fun farm for all the kids to play at. Lily loved playing on the school bus and fire truck. Brooklynn helped Lily steer the firetruck. (It's hard to steer when you can't see over the dashboard!)
There were pony rides and train rides. There were also little kid rides: canoe rides, old fashion car rides, carousels, roller coasters, and other carnival type rides. Lily didn't care much for the roller coaster. She loved the canoe ride, because she could splash in the water and play with the toy ducks as we went around. They had a petting zoo too, but Lily wanted nothing to do with that, so I took her for a walk while her cousins & Mickayla fed the farm animals.
Lily's favorite activity was the maze! She got to walk around as much as she wanted and go whatever direction she wanted to go without me complaining. She led the way, and I just held on to her for dear life. (She can run fast, and I was afraid if I lost her, I wouldn't be able to see her between the hay bales.) Isn't her monkey backpack adorable?! Lily loves her backpack, too, which makes it all the better.

I love those monkey backpacks! My niece, Audrey, used to wear one and it was a lifesaver. Anytime she'd start to trip over her wobbly legs, we'd pick her up by pulling hard on her leash and save her little knees from getting all scraped up. I'm a big fan.
