I just realized that I never posted pictures about our 4th of July. It was nice to hang out as a family on a day other than Sunday. We took Lily to her first parade. She loved the clowns! They were dancing to music, which made Lily jump up and down with excitement in Scott's arms. She was scared of the pirates, because they shot off their cannon as they approached our part of the parade route.
We took Lily to a park that night. She loved the swing! We also played lasso golf, which Lily enjoyed playing with us (she helped us gather up the balls). Apparently, we brought a very popular game to the park. We ended up with a crowd of 10 kids watching us play and asking if they could play, too. I would really like to know where all their parents were, because I ended up babysitting them for half an hour!We took Lily to watch fireworks that night. She liked watching fireworks in the distance. She would say "oooh!" as the big fireworks exploded. By the time our firework show started, she was exhausted and terrified of the big boom, so we had to leave the firework show early. Oh well, maybe she like them better next year!
