Lily is 5!

Lily was so excited to turn 5! Zeke and I delivered cupcakes to her class at snack time. Unfortunately, Lily had gobbled her cupcake up before I had a chance to take a picture. After school, she put her new Rapunzel dress on and wouldn’t take it off. So we took “Rapunzel” around to a few stores in search of the perfect snow globe. (She really wanted a snow globe and we couldn’t find one.)

For dinner, we let her choose where we went out to eat. Lucky for Scott, she chose Red Robin (one of Scott’s favorites).

A few days later, we celebrated with my family. I had attempted to make a cake like Rapunzel’s tower. It was not very successful. I used 5 shish kabob sticks to support it, but it was still more like the leaning tower of Rapunzel.

Happy Birthday Lily!

I love that cake! Brings a smile to my face. My Aubrey would love to play with your Lily. They are into the same stuff all the way. BTW, I don't know if it would be the same out there or not, but they had quite the selection of little girly snow globes at DollarTree just this week. My daughter almost got it but switched it out for a purple stuffed kitty instead.
If her heartstrings are still beating for a snow globe, you might want to check it out.

It's too bad we live across the country from each other. I'm sure our girls would just love each other!

I'll have to check out Dollar Tree. Thanks for the tip.

I love your cake! It looks like a cake that I would make. I always have the best of intentions but my cake-making skills are lacking. Good for you! Your kids are getting big so fast!
