For Christmas, Mom & Dad gave me “The Toddler’s Busy Book” that a friend had recommended to me. It’s full of simple activities that any parent can throw together for a fun impromptu play time. (Mostly, it reminds parents what they used to do when they were little.)
This last week, I’ve been trying to implement some of those ideas, and create a few ideas of my own:
We made a fort out of the couch cushions and acted out “The Three Little Pigs.” (Lily was the little pig and I was the big bad wolf.) She wanted me to get in the house, but there is no way I could fit in there. Lily isn’t one to take no for an answer, so she asked her dad to get in. (He’s a better sport than I am.)
And then the daddy piggy broke the house down and made my little piggy cry.
Lily also helped me “play in the bubbles,” but this time she kept all the bubbles in the sink.
And because she was such a big help, we had time to paint one of her wood projects from Home Depot together. (Sorry no pictures. I forgot to grab the camera before we started, and I couldn’t leave her unsupervised with paint even for a second.)

Sorry the mean big daddy piggy broke your little piggy's house. What a fun time though. I am glad you got to do that.
Sounds like fun activities. Would you recommend to buy the book?
