My birthday started off great last week, Lily and Scott sang “Happy Birthday” to me in the morning. Lily was so excited to sing! I wish I had video taped it. She loves singing that song.
Scott had an insane amount of homework and classes that day, so he let me have my gift (a new set of pots, which I love and desperately needed) and then we postponed the rest of the celebrations until the following day. Don’t worry, Scott made sure my birthday was celebrated. He and Lily picked me up from work the next day and took me to Mi Mexico (a restaurant I’ve been dying to visit). And Scott was sure to have them sing to me, which naturally required me to wear a huge sombrero.
Lily thought the sombrero was pretty cool, so I helped her try it on.
Sunday, Mom, Dad & Mickayla came up to visit us. Lily had so much fun showing them all her new toys from Christmas. She also liked stealing my presents as soon as I opened them.
I decided to buy my cake at Costco this year . . . I love their cheesecakes, and it sure beats making my own cake. I couldn’t find our normal candles though, so I had to choose from the “3” and “0” candles from Scott’s birthday (neither have anything to do with 28). I decided to go with “0”.
(Lily got some of the whip cream on her elbow, and was trying to lick it off.)
My favorite part of their visit was playing the Wii. We introduced them to two of our new games, one of which required participants to disco dance . . .
And the winner was Dad. He beat us all by a long shot!

what, no video of Dad playing the disco dance game? Sounds like fun, we'll need to try that one.
WE had a lot of fun. I thought I was winning throwing the cow on the wii but Candice came in and won that one. Dad was a great disco dancer
ha ha, love so many of these pictures. Especially the licking the elbow and Dad dancing. Happy bday Can!
Great cake. It sounds like your birthday was good. Thanks for remembering me on mine. I hope to be better remembering yours next year :) Love you!
