So as promised, here are pictures of her new “big girl” bed with the new cover and bed skirt. The pattern is made up of multi-colored butterflies, which she loves. And we love that it matches her current color schemes and adds a little extra pink to her white-walled room.
Unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture of the new sheets that we bought for her. The sheets have ballerina slippers and princess tiaras, both of which she obsesses with currently. She was so excited when we put the sheets on her bed.
The pillow that she’s lying on in this photo is just an extra decorative pillow for her bed, since the comforter came with an extra pillow case. The one she sleeps with is below and matches the ballerina/princess sheets. Lily did not understand this tonight when I put her to bed. She thought that was her new special pillow to sleep with. So when I went to take it off her bed, she screamed bloody murder, saying, “that’s my pillow.” I had to explain that it was just an extra pillow and that she’s supposed to sleep on the one below it. She insisted on having it still, so I put it beside her so she could cuddle with it. This was acceptable to her.
For two straight nights she has slept through the night and woken up a little later than normal in her new bed. This could be the start of a beautiful friendship with that bed!

kids sleeping better and longer is a big accomplishment for a mother. Yay for you! And way cute bed. She looks happy!
I'm glad the transition is going so smoothly. I'm trying to decorate my living room a little and I wish I had Candice handy for advice!
Very cute bedspread. I am glad she gets to sleep thru the night. What a blessing.
I love her new bed and decor! I love even more how happy Lily looks AND that she's sleeping longer. Woo hoo! Maybe it's the luxury of two pillows. :)
Lovely bedspread. And Lily looks proud. How great she is starting to sleep longer. (So jealous! :-))
