10 Weeks!

For anyone that still might not know, I am expecting! I went in for my first doctor's appointment today, and had my first ultrasound. I have to say having an ultrasound is one of the coolest experiences of pregnancy (next to feeling the baby move). The baby was waving with it's left hand which melted my heart.

For those of you wondering what part of the baby you're looking at in these pictures, I'll explain. (I think the doctor printed off the worst shots from the ultrasound.) The top picture is looking down on the baby with it's belly on the left side and it's head on the right. The middle picture is more of a straight on shot that shows the legs going down and left from the torso, then the torso and the baby's head (the baby's hands are the small ovals above and below the head). The bottom picture is a similar shot to the middle picture.

Scott has declared from the beginning of this pregnancy that this baby is a boy. He was right with Lily (and I was dead wrong), so we'll just have to see how good his paternal instincts are.

Scott has also nicknamed the baby. (He nicknamed Lily "Baby Bucky.") This baby's nickname is "Baby Beaman." Obviously, I have no say in the nickname, it's 100% a daddy's nickname for the baby, not a permanent name.
