So my little baby is officially growing out of the toddler stage now and consequently got a "big girl" bed. We took down her crib and put up this twin bed. I know it doesn't look like much right now. We're planning on going shopping today for new sheets and cover for her bed to make it more girly. We'll post pictures when it's done. But Lily loves her new bed. And as a surprise to us, Lily not only slept all through the night last night, which is becoming more frequent, but she slept in a whole 2 hours longer than her normal 6am wake up call! It was wonderful. We congratulated her on her first steps to becoming a "big girl."I've also been working on her putting herself to sleep at night, rather than us having to sit in her rocking chair for 15 minutes until she falls asleep. She's doing pretty well for me. I put her down and tell her that I love her and that she needs to be a big girl and fall asleep. She usually pouts a bit but then lets me leave the room without further protest and goes to sleep by herself. She's not quite that far with Candice yet, but at least Candice can sit in the rocking chair now and wait till she's asleep, instead of needing to crawl in bed with her and hold her hand till she's asleep. Needless to say, I put Lily to bed most nights because it's easier on all of us.
Now that Lily is getting to be a big girl, I can to start potty training today. Yay!! I'm so excited. Can you feel my excitement bursting out from the computer? Wish me luck!

I can't believe Lily is big enough for a big-girl bed already. It seemed like yesterday that Scott posted the very first pictures of her. Time goes fast!
