Lily is so particular that she makes me laugh! She likes the weirdest things. She has never liked a bib, EVER, but she will gladly wear her Home Depot apron when she eats. She doesn’t like eating breakfast, unless she can eat out of my bowl of cereal. Otherwise, she’ll settle for a bottle of milk. She loves cheese, and yogurt (only if she can feed herself). She also loves bananas and cooked carrots. Her favorite food is sauce: ketchup, salsa, spaghetti sauce, cheese sauce, you tell her it’s sauce and she will eat it. In fact, she will eat the sauce plain and not eat the French fries, chips, or pasta it was served with.
Last night, I made grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup for dinner. I made Lily her own meal, because I didn’t think I stood a chance at convincing her to eat tomato soup. She crawled up in my lap and wanted to try the soup. What a nice surprise!
Today for lunch, Lily asked for soup. I heated up some tomato soup. I was worried about letting her feed herself. I envisioned tomato soup being flung across the room, but Lily was very well behaved. She ate almost all of her soup and crackers all by herself. She let me wipe her face whenever she dribbled, and she didn’t throw anything on the floor!
Maybe there’s hope for my picky little monster after all.

That's wonderful. It's funny how they are born with preferences. Will has NEVER liked potatoes. Not boiled, not mashed, not baked... only in french fry form. I dont know how he could possibly be born with the preference since I thought potatoes ran in our blood. But apparently they are yucky to him. ;)

I really think she does hate chewing! She's very picky about texture. She never liked baby food and refuses to eat oatmeal to this day. She won't eat fresh vegetables because she has to chew too much!

Wow, I can't even eat plain tomato soup. I'm also picky about texture. That's why I can't eat peaches.
Great that she found another food she likes. I guess Malea will follow into Lily's food steps. Solids are not her favorite with the exception of Puffs.
