Candice, Lily, and I had the day off together. Since school hasn't started for me, we knew we needed to do something fun before our lives got really crazy. We had heard that Mt. Baker was a nice place to visit and that it wasn't too far to drive. So we spent our day off hiking and sight-seeing at Mt. Baker National Park.

The array of colors and beautiful vistas were breathtaking beyond belief!

We took turns wrestling with Lily while walking the trails. We don't have a backpack, and our friends who would have lent us one were out of town. So, needless to say, we had to carry Lily on the trails most of the time. That was the hard part.

But seeing gorgeous picturesque scenes like this made it all worthwhile. This is known as Picture Lake. It is one of the most photograhed mountain lake scenes in Washington State. It's obvious from the photo why. If you think this picture is amazing, just go there sometime. WOW!! We had a great time. Here are some more pictures of our day adventure:

What a magnificent park. The colors are wonderful and the nature looks so incredibly perfect. I would really love to take a hike there some day myself.

These pictures remind me so much of pictures we have of Candice in Alaska as a baby. You should do a side by side comparison.
What a beautiful hike and fun day.
