My coworker, Lauren, normally takes her lunch break at the same time as I do. We chat for a little bit, but normally we both read on our ereaders. We have different taste in books – I read classics or nonfiction, she reads romance novels.
She told me a story last week that totally made me laugh. When her son was just beginning to talk (he’s now in his 20s), her sister was visiting. She put her son to bed, but as she was leaving the room, he called out, “Book, Mama. Book!” She chucked a book into his crib, turned off the light and closed the door. She then told her sister what happened and said, “I don’t know what he’ll do with a book in the dark!” Her sister replied, “He wanted you to read to him!” Whoops.
I’m so grateful we won’t reenact that story at our house! Zeke and Lily love story time before bed. In fact, Zeke will often crawl up on Lily’s bed in anticipation.

okay that was a funny story. Crazy though! I loved catching up on your blog. I love the backdrop at Scott's family reunion, what a beautiful place! So awesome that Lily has his heritage, and Zeke is getting so big! Hope all is well with you!
