Scott and I went on a date last night. (Horray!) It’s been a few months. We were very grateful to my mom for watching the kids and putting them to bed for us.
The theme of the evening ending up being “hurry, hurry, hurry.” We thought we had calculated enough time to get to downtown for the ghost tour, but traffic made it where we had to run 5 blocks. It didn’t help that we didn’t know exactly where we were going once we got there. But we eventually found it. Right before the tour started.
The tour was fun. We got to see Pike Place Market in it’s deserted form, and hear stories that we normally wouldn’t learn otherwise. No, we didn’t see or feel ghosts. But we heard about a lot of crazy things . . . like Seattle’s first serial murderer.
After the tour, we had to run to the car, try and find an ATM, and quickly make it over to a woman’s house so we could buy a hiking baby backpack from her. (Love the backpack, by the way.)
Then we had to quickly find a gas station before I peed my pants. Scott kept trying to get me to laugh. He thought it would be funny to tell Lily that I peed my pants. (Not funny, sweetheart.)
We ended our evening with a lot of ice cream! The restaurant was closing, so I felt a little rushed. Oh well. It wasn’t the perfect date. But I loved spending time with Scott.

I am glad you guys got out together. It sounds like a fun tour
Andrew and I LOVE doing ghost tours! We did one in Bisbee & Tombstone Arizona (The Copper Queen, where we stayed, was featured on Ghost Hunters. You can YouTube Copper Queen Ghost Hunters and see a bit of it. We even stayed in the Julia Lowell room!) and we did on we when were in New Orleans. I love that kind of stuff. I think it's fun.
I swear our dates are always like that now. Just kind of rushed and kind of a bust. But the best part is just GETTING OUT!
Glad you got to go.
Great that you had the chance to go on a date! Sounds like a fun one, too.
I actually DID pee my pants once, in a restaurant, crazy with the giggles when I was 17 or 18. I could have held it, but I decided to go for the thrill. It was hilarious!
