My Ghetto Neighbors

Yesterday was my day off.  I normally try to sleep in an extra hour.  At 5:30 am, I woke up to a man yelling from the apartment complex behind us.  He was yelling for a person to open the door, and that he knew they were in there.  After listening to him yell for 5 minutes, I decided to get up and look out the window to see what was going on.  It sounded like a domestic disturbance, so I was prepared to call the police and let them handle it before violence broke out.  (The street behind our complex is the ghetto of the town, so I shouldn’t be surprised that this happened.)

I had to laugh when I looked out the window and really listened to what was being yelled.  It was the police yelling for a man to come out with his hands up!  I guess I didn’t need to call the police after all.

To top it all off, the officer yelled the same thing for over 3 hours.  He switched to a bull horn at 8:30.
