I realized last week that summer was passing us by without any fun memories. I decided to change that.
Monday, we went to the Aquatic Center (local swimming pool). It was the coolest public pool I’ve ever been too. There were three different pools: the heated toddler wading pool, the lap pool (or free swim pool), and a diving pool. It also had a hot tub, and a huge slide that splashed into the deep end of the wading pool (it was roped off to avoid collisions). Lily was scared of the water, so she sat on our laps for an hour watching people go down the water slide. She loved watching her dad splash into the water! She finally realized she could walk around in the water, and then she was all over the place. She even had Scott take her into the main swimming pool (I wouldn’t leave the heated water).
Thursday, we went to the park with Lily’s friends (Eva & Cora). They had a great time playing in the water. Scott was a good dad and played with them! (For those that have never seen Eva and Lily together, they look a lot alike. Lily is wearing the white swimsuit with red stars, Eva is wearing the pink striped swimsuit.)
Saturday, we decided to take Lily to see the “dancing pancake.” She always squeals with delight when she sees IHOP’s pancake costume. I called ahead to make sure the pancake would be dancing, but apparently, I didn’t talk to the person that knew the pancake’s schedule. There was no dancing pancake! We ate breakfast there anyway, hoping the pancake would arrive, but he never did. The costume was in the lobby, Lily was excited to see it, so we took pictures of her with the costume.

that sounds like the coolest park! but I would be a little worried about why the toddle wading pool was warm ;)
Wow so much fun!
This reminds me of the fountains we used to run through in St Louis. What a hot summer that was! Looks like Lily is loving every minute of this park. How fun!
This park looks great. The sprinklers are awesome. Malea would love those. Hope at one point we can make it to Washington and visit you guys! I would love to see you again and meet Scott and Lily.
