“Miss Berry” Pageant

Once a month, the women in my church get together to have some fun and learn a few things along the way.  Last night, we had a “Berry Festival.”  There were games, crafts, and jam making.  Anyone that knows me well knows that I didn’t even attempt to make the craft.  Let’s face it . . . I would never be satisfied with my craftsmanship and would think everyone else’s was cuter.  So I recruited people to play the games with me.  It brought back memories of Horace Mann Elementary’s carnival nights.

At the end of the evening, they had a Miss Berry Contest.  Somehow, I was nominated to be one of the “Beauty Contestants.”  It was hilarious!  I was given four fashion consultants to make my tissue paper gown.  Here’s my close up:

Here are all the contestants together:

The lady on the left (the one that looks like the Chiquita banana lady) won.  She was a character and totally deserved to win!  (but I think my outfit was the cutest)

I didn't know you guys had a blog! I saw it on Aprils site. I think your outfit is hilarious, but a little too immodest for church don't you think! HAHA. I am sorry about your grandma. Lily looks so grown up. talk soon!
