is a hot, relaxing shower. Unfortunately, our water heater went out over the weekend so I woke up to icy cold water. It definitely wasn’t my preferred way of waking up. Luckily, our landlord came over this afternoon and spent two hours installing a new water heater for us. (It’s times like this that I love renting instead of owning.)

I completely agree! That is a major factor in us not buying right now, that along with the major price tag tag that comes with real estate around here. Although if I owned our place I could have an instant water heater installed and then there would be more than 1 shower's worth of hot water. Although I wouldn't be able to afford the instant water heater because I'd be house-poor. Lose-lose.
Grrh, a cold shower in the morning... definitely not something one is waiting for. I hope it got fixed quickly!
