We went up to Canada on Oct. 11 for my mom's wedding. It was a happy event and we are all very happy for her that she has found someone who loves her and will take care of her. It's an answer to our prayers that she will not have to be alone. We love and miss Dad a lot, and nothing could replace him, but we know we'll all grow to love Michael as well. We're sad that our children will never get to know their Grandpa S. in this life, but we are happy that they will have another Grandpa S. to know.
My brother Michael performed a memorial dedication in honor of Dad while we were all there in Canada. The plaque is placed on the wall of the Desert Cultural Centre in remembrance of the time that he dedicated to its development. The memorial was both tearful and joyful as we celebrated his life.

GOSH you look so much like your dad!
I can't help but shed tears. It is a happy moment, but makes me miss him so much. He was a great man, father, uncle and friend.
