On August 26, Scott's dad passed away unexpectedly. We went to Canada the next day to be with his family. We spent the following week crying and laughing. Sometimes we laughed so hard we cried when we remembered some of the jokes Scott's dad played on his family.

The flower arrangement commemorates Scott's dad's love for two countries.

This is the temporary grave marker that a family friend made for us. He did a great job, especially with such short notice. (You can't really tell from this picture, but the wood is about 4" thick.)

Ashley designed the picture to go on the grave marker. She did a great job coming up with something fitting for her dad. (It's a man walking on a path towards a tree. The sun is shining behind the tree.)

What a wonderful last gift for Scott's dad. The marker and the drawing are a real nice tribune to him.
