Lillian Grace was born at 11:14pm on April 20, 2007. She weighed 8 lbs 15 oz at birth. A big first baby!
Lillian was named after her Great Grandma Lillian. Her middle name Grace is in honor of a dear friend that Scott met and baptized in Brazil (Graça in Portuguese). We've decided to call her Lily for short. Notice that Lily is spelled with one "L" and not two, although Lillian has two. Her Indian name is Princess Tiger-Lily. And other nicknames already include (for Scott at least) Lily Lion, Lil' Gracie, and Lil' Bucky.
This is Lily's first photgraph and first moments of her life. The amazing thing is that she didn't even cry after being born. In fact, she didn't cry at all for the first 36 hours of her life, not once. Whimpered, yes, but crying, no. Alhough she did like to mimic other cying babies by whimpering a little like a puppy.

That's amazing that she doesn't cry! I hope that continue for you. It is amazing that her face isn't all squished up or anything. She's just so beautiful.
Unfortunately, Lily just learned how to cry. She put her new found talent to great use today. She screamed going into the doctors appointment, and the whole way home. I felt like a terrible mother!
Don't worry, crying definitely does not mean you are a bad mother. Babies just have one way to communicate when they're so young.
